Adelaide Banks

All the Australian big five banks such as ANZ, Commonwealth, National Australia Bank, Westpac and St George have their branches located in Adelaide. The Adelaide bank is the main local bank and is mainly used by Australian nationals, the larger main Aussie banks are the popular ones with visitors.

There are are 36 bank branches in Adelaide two from ANZ, ten Commonwealth, ten for the National Australian Bank, nine Westpac and five St George's. All of these are spread in different areas of Adelaide, all Westpac branches are in north Adelaide and the St George branches are located close to the coast and the National Australia bank are spread all over the city. The other banks are situated close together in the middle of the city centre.

As all ATMs accept all international cards, there are yellow boxes at the top of the machines which indicate what bank cards they accept without a fee.

Adelaide airport has two foreign exchange shops operated by TravelEx you can locate them in the arrivals lounge and departures. Other foreign exchange shops can be found in the centre of Adelaide.
